Mostek made logic, memory, and microprocessor chips. Their microprocessors were second source versions of the ZilogZ80, the Fairchild F8 and the Motorola 68000.
United Technologies bought Mostek in 1980, SGS-Thomson aquires Mostek from United
Technologies in 1987 for $71M and fires 80% of the workers.
