The KP580BM80A (Kyrillic for KR580WM80A) is an i8080 clone produced in the former Soviet Union. It comes in a pretty heavy package with strange steel inserts on the back. I don't know why it had to be enforced like this...
Comment by Andrew Shkira (ashkira[at]ua.fm): Those CPUs were manufactured in three variants:
KP580ИК80 - DIP48 ceramic package
KP580BM80 - DIP40 ceramic package
KP580BM80A - DIP40 plastic package
Comment by iguana_kiev (ddr2ddr[at]gmail.com): Andrew Shkira`s comment is WRONG. Right info: KP580BM80 - plastic DIP40 (after 1986) KP580ИK80 - old name (up to 1986) 580BM80 - cerDIP40 military K580ИK80 - flat 44pin ceramic (the first soviet CPU military) Letter 'A' in the end means i8080A clone, no 'A' = i8080.
